Sleeping
Truth be told, this section should have been called "Hurricane Shutters" However, you would only read it if there were a hurricane in sight...
So, what do hurricane shutters have to do with sleeping.
Spanish Main:
- If staying at Spanish Main, the master bedrooms has them installed. Instead of using the blinds, use the hurricane shutters. A simple press of the button - up or down - and you will sleep well past your usual wake up time as there is NO light seepage. Also, you can stop them anywhere by pressing the middle button at desired level. Lastly, feel welcome to used the shutter in the living room!
Sandcastles:
If you are staying at Sandcastles, particularly 709, the shutters could also IMPEDE sleep - if they are not fully put away. If not (put fully out of the way) they may clang in the breeze and wake you at night!
Also, during the day / evening. please feel free to position the shutters to help mitigate the sun and wind. If it is particularly windy, move the shutters to block the wind. For instance, close the south shutters when there is a strong cross-current. It takes just a little trial and error. However, remember to position them back - otherwise it may interfere with your sleep ;-)
